Degrassi is BOSS.

Mannn, I've neglected this.
Like, I'm kind of ashamed at how long it's been since I posted.
It's ridiculous.

And because of my ever-shorter attention span,
here's a list of the most SMFAH (super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot) things in my life right now.

--I just finished Looking for Alaska last night. I laughed, I cried, and I want it to be a movie. Like, NOW. Snaps and claps to Julianna for getting me obsessed with a new book.
--I'm passing all my classes. Some just barely, but still passing.
--I have $52 in my Spring Awakening fund now.
--I bought a new Matt-outfit today :D
--The new season of Degrassi premires in 8 minutes.
--TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

Also, a list of some fun things I've experienced since I last posted:
--I've been lifted off a desk.
--I've watched x1234567890 hours of Degrassi.
--I've been called beautiful.
--I've been published on http://www.hatepost.com/ AND http://www.harvardfml.com/.
--I've been given Nerf guns and had some epic battles.
--I've gotten new books, and have considered starting a Life Library.
--I've turned one year older.
--I've made new friends.
--I've learned to look at the big picture a little bit more.

TIME FOR DEGRASSI!

Friday, August 14, 2009

Because I haven't posted in forever.

I don't know what's gotten into me.
I think I just gave up on blogging all together.
Starting high school is a very time consuming matter.

So, here's the current list of what's going on in my life:

--Still love Spring Awakening. I'm going to knit Jacob Lee Epstein a scarf <3
--I didn't use my schedule to get around school today AT ALL.
--Twitter is becoming my addiction.
--The Degrassi movie is coming on tonight!
--I heard something that made me sad today, about someone I love who I hurt.
--My mom saw Ian Somerhalder last night :)
--Christopher WILL find us at lunch on Monday.
--I am severly missing my friends in Covington.
--Lee called me today, and I have yet to call him back because I'm a procrastinator.
--I have loads of weekend homework which I probably won't start until tomorrow.
--I will hopefully be seeing Savannah soon, really soon!
--I have two unread text messages.

OH, and I have an IM from Biscuit :)

Maybe I'll blog again later, after the Degrassi movie.
My attention span is just getting shorter and shorter.

Off to linkspam Julianna for when her comupter is back up!

Google.

I've already tried this once, and I'm getting aggrivated.

Here is a list of very Google-iscious young men, and I was going to post pictures of them, but my computer hates Photobucket and Blogspot and Grooveshark.

1. Jonathan Groff <3

2. Blake Bashoff <3

3. John Gallagher Jr. <3

4. Hunter Parrish <3

5. Kyle Riabko <3

6. Jake Epstien <3

So yeah, I've been into theatre kids lately :)

Blake Bashoff and The Knowing.

Right now, I'm listening to "All That's Known" from Spring Awakening.
I still can't get over the prettiness of Jonathan Groff's voice.

Leading Men IV Pictures, Images and Photos

So today, Julianna (http://happydayyay.blogspot.com/) provided me with an awesome nugget of information. She told me that the guy who plays Karl on LOST is currently playing Moritz in the tour cast of Spring Awakening. Now, I'm a huge LOST freak, so this news excited me. It meant two things; Karl can sing, and I might be seeing him when Spring Awakening comes to our state.

I found out that Karl's name is Blake Bashoff. And he can, indeed, sing. Very prettily. Is that a word? Eh, whatever. The point is that I never, ever imagined, watching Blake on LOST, that he could sing.

But this kid can really sing.

All I've really done today is watch movies. First, Kenzie and I watched "The Secret Life of Bees". I just finished the book yesterday, and I wanted to see how the movie was. The book was pretty good, not my favorite ever, but not terrible. Sadly, I just didn't like the movie very much. It was okay, except that it was exactly like the book. And having just read the book, I was bored.

Then we watched "Valkyrie". I fell asleep for about thirty minutes at the beginning, but then I woke up and loved the rest of the movie. I even teared up a little bit at the end. Tom Cruise was awesome in it, and I didn't want to see him go at the end.

After that, we took a movie watching break. Then tonight we finished up with "The Knowing". It was probably my favorite that we watched today. It was creepy and sci-fi-ish and awesome at the same time. I loved the angel guys, and how Nicholas Cage let his son go at the end. I thought he did really well in this.

By the way, I have no idea who reads this. I have three followers, and have gotten comments from two people I don't know. I would love to know who does read this that I don't know about, and if you want to tell me, myspace me. But the point is, please say a little prayer for my mommy. She has an infection, and it's about to go away I think, but prayers would definately help.
Thanks :)

The Vampire Diaries.

This morning I woke up with not much to blog about.

However, that has changed.

We left about one this afternoon to take Gracie home. We knew the new TV show "The Vampire Diaries" would be filming on the square, so we figured we would go check it out. We knew that Ian Somerhalder from LOST (I'm a huge LOST freak) and Nina Dobrev from Degrassi would be there, but we didn't figure we'd really meet them. We just wanted to go see the set.

We drove by and saw that the cast was supposed to arrive around 4. We found some two hour parking and walked up to the square. We spread out on some benches and watched important-looking people carry props and equipment on set. Gracie and I were making animated conversation and looking like official picnickers when a nice man named Brandon came over and told us that they would be moving equipment by a lot, that we had to move so we wouldn't get hurt.

We went to go sit by my mom and Kenzie, who of course were making conversation with a total stranger. What we didn't know was that this total stranger happened to be the director of the show. My mom asked him if we could meet Ian, and he said sure, but he wouldn't be there until about 4 in the morning. We were prepared to wait, and he said we could sit on the bench the whole time and chill.

The second my mom left to go move the car, Gracie squeezed my hand so hard it drew blood. "That's Boone, over there in the hat!!" Kenzie thought it was him too, but I ignored them. It just didn't look like Ian to me.

It was around that time that the director, Marcos Siega, came over and said, "Where's your mother??" We told him that she went to go move the car. Shocked and laughing, he told us, "Oh, well Ian is here on set now!"

My heart stopped.

I couldn't breathe.

We were trying not to totally freak out when Ian starts walking towards us. We were shrieking so high-pitched I don't think he could hear it. I figured he would just walk right by, but he stopped right in front of us.

"Hey guys! What's up?" He asked, smiling. We were speechless. He looks even better in person.

"We're just hanging out," one of us said.

"Oh, really? That's cool," he smiled. "What are your names?"

He went over to my sister and shook her hand. She introduced her self and he said, "I'm Ian."

Then he moved to me, I was in the middle. His handshake was so firm. I told him my name, and I believe he said "Nice to meet you" or something along those lines. Then Gracie introduced herself.

We talked for a minute and then as he was about to leave, I asked if we could get a picture with him.

"Sure!" He said. The director was standing by and said that he would take the picture. Ian sat down on the bench between me and Gracie and put his arms around us. They were so muscular.

"Look at me, Marcos, surrounded by all these beautiful girls!" He joked. I could hear my heart beating so loudly.

Marcos took two pictures, and then Ian got up from the bench. "I have to tell you, movie sets are the most boring things ever. Except for us, of course," he smiled. I was just watching his mouth move, not really hearing anything. He told us he would see us later, and walked off.

Since the pictures are on my myspace and I don't knnow how to link them here, here's a lovely picture of Ian:

Ian Somerhalder Pictures, Images and Photos

After that, my life was pretty much complete. :D Gracie and I went to play with one of the cameramen's dogs for a while. Her name was Niko and she was such a sweetheart. We thought she would be on the show, but when we found out she was just someone's dog, we got a little bored with playing with her. We kept talking about how Ian would come over and play with the dog with us. Haha :)

We sat on the bench for a while, watching them film. Nina Dobrev was filming a scene where she was handing out flierswith another girl actress, who kept saying "Oh baby!" We'll be looking for that scene when the show comes on.

Once Nina walked by to go to the snack table. When she was walking back, the lady across from us asked for a picture with her. Nina was sweet and said yes, even though she was busy. My mom asked if we could get a picture with her too, and she said "of course". She was so sweet, and told us she hopes we like the show when it comes out next month.

In the car on the way to the square, I said that if it was God's Will, we would meet Ian.

I suppose it was. :)

Things that make me smile.

Last night, we all went out for a midnight run to Walmart. We bought some gum and some hot cheetos, and then all of a sudden, we realized that Daniel Radcliffe's birthday was today. Naturally, we came home and cooked some Ramen noodles and lit some candles in honor of Dan's 20th birthday. At twelve, we popped gum into our mouths (ha, because he popped some gum at the beginning of HBP) and celebrated.

Today has been more uneventful. Gracie and I slept late and then just chilled out and watched The Suite Life on Deck with Hannah Montana for a while. Then, my dad brought my new summer reading book home ("The Secret Life of Bees"). I finished my last questions for my other book report and began to read my new book. I got to about page 73; meanwhile, Gracie was taking a nap. So now, we're watching the 16 and Pregnant reunion and LA Ink.

Because I can't think of much else to blog about, here's a few pictures of random things, in no particular order, that make me happy :)

1. Spring Awakening Pictures, Images and Photos

Spring Awakening- A musical that I have been addicted to lately. Those three characters are Moritz, Melchior, and Wendla. The music is catchy and the story is touching, and Jonathan Groff is just too adorable. :)

2. r Pictures, Images and Photos

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie- I have said so many times that I love this movie. Go in with low expectations and you just might love it too. I do not deceive; this movie is awesome.

3. charlie bartlett Pictures, Images and Photos

Blazers over t-shirts- They make any look better. Check out this kid, Charlie Bartlett (played by Anton Yelchin) for an example.

4. Home And Shadows Pictures, Images and Photos

Winter- I love it all. The snow, the cold air, the boots, the hot chocolate. I would take winter over any other season. Especially small towns in winter. Those are absolutely gorgeous and amazing.

5. Ian Somerhalder 3 Pictures, Images and Photos

Ian Somerhalder- He. is. in. Georgia. right. now. Tomorrow we're going to stalk him on the set of Vampire Diaries :)

Tom Felton is not ugly.

I forgot to blog yesterday. I had planned to do it as soon as we got back from seeing Half-Blood Prince again, but I totally forgot. So yeah :P

Yesterday, Gracie and I knew we had to babysit, so we woke up at like 7:30 and sat on the couch and waited...and waited...and waited. Until it was around 10, and we had fallen asleep on the couch. Now, we don't have a clue why they didn't call or show up. My mom called the house, but they didn't pick up. And we rode by, and there's no cars. We're wondering if there was a death in the family, or if they just fell off the face of the earth.

After we got over our anger, we decided randomly to go see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We probably shouldn't have, seeing as we didn't even get paid for babysitting, but we scrounged up some money and Gracie, Kenzie, and I went by ourselves.

And it was worth it :)

I took in more than I did the first time. For example, I realized just how much I love the scene at the beginning with the Death Eaters zooming about London. And, I realized just how much I hated the scene with Slughorn as a chair. Gracie was scared of Aragog, the acromantula. Also, she felt the need to say that DRACO was UGLY. Those two words should NEVER be in the same sentence.

Who could ever call this face ugly?

draco Pictures, Images and Photos

hi, this is gracie now. FIRST OF ALL, i didnt say he was UGLY. i said that his face looked ugly at ONE. PART. and it was the part when he scrunched his face up and was snarling, so im sure some others would agree on that. okay? and he was beautiful the rest of the movie. it was just that ONE. PART.

okay?

Okay Gracie :D

So, we went to the bathroom after the movie got out. Everyone was sniffling after Dumbledore died, and Gracie and I really really had to pee. Anyways, we found a wallet in the bathroom. It was really big, like it had a lot of cards in it. We took it up to the front, to the manager, who didn't really like us (when we had to pay before the movie, we just gave him money to count out for us).

Then we came home and watched Ruby and the Rockits (which was pretty cute) and NYC Prep (which was confusing, because we couldn't tell if this model person was a guy or a girl).

Today, we rode out to Covington to take Gracie home and go to Kenzie's orthodontist appointment. Only, here Gracie and I are, sitting at home. We decided she should just come back to Gwinnett with us, and since she can get her retainer next week, she'll be here until Friday or Saturday.

SO, we were in a pet store today. The puppies were adorable (we named them Bently, Buckles, and Bo). However, we didn't have enough money for puppies, so we decided to buy two 25 cent goldfish. My mom had no idea that we were gonna buy fish, so we decided to buy them and walk down the the pharmacy where she was and surprise her. She wasn't mad, so we named them Boone and Harley and left them at the pet store so we could go get food. But then, we decided it was too much trouble to take care of fish, so we abandoned them at the pet store and never went back.

Now, we're off to eat some chili cheese fries or some Ramen noodles. Hopefully I'll remember to blog tomorrow.

OH, and by the way, Daniel Radcliffe has amazing fashion sense. Even if he is a short little man :)

No 17 Again and Mama Who Bore Me.

Seventeen Again comes out tomorrow!!!

That wasn't the smoothest opening, but we're so excited to see Zefron in it. I say "we" because Gracie, my super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot bestfrannn, is over at my house. Today when I left Julianna's house really, early, which was a surprise because we were just busy browsing givesmehope.com, we swung by to pick Gracie up. She's not leaving until Wednesday, so she'll probably be here for the blog tomorrow.

And we're considering going to pick up 17 Again tonight at midnight, even though we don't even know if Blockbuster is open that late.

OH MY GOSH. So, we just found out that 17 Again has been delayed for another three weeks. AHHHHHH!!!!!!

Whatever. All day Gracie has been singing "Mama Who Bore Me" from Spring Awakening. Here's a link to the a video of the song, it's really prettyyyy:

And here's a picture of Jonathan Groff, my new love, just because he's just so cute and you just want to hug him:

Random things happening on the Repo Show:

--A guy named Froy screamed about chipping his tooth.
--People have a random corcheted blanket in their RV.
--The RV had been missing for 30 years.
--A lady fell over and rolled on the ground.
--Now she has pigtails.
--I have no clue what this show is about.

Melchior and meeeee.

So here I am at Julianna's house. Today we went to the only hotel in Covington to audition for this show called The Vampire Diaries, premiring on the CW this fall.

It was HOT outside. Julianna, Cole, Jamye, Conner, Catherine, Chelsea, my sister, my mom, our friend Georgia, and me waited outside for about thirty minutes, and Boone wasn't even there. The auditions were less exciting than expected. We walked into the air conditioning, dropped off our pictures and forms, Conner asked if he qualified for a 6'1 Caucasian male, they said no, and then we walked out.

I'll let you know if any of us get the part, or a phone call from Boone (Boone is a character from LOST, played by Ian Somerhalder, and is one of the head vampires on this show).

ON TO MELCHOIR!

There is this little show that closed on Broadway in January. You might have heard of it. Spring Awakening. It won 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score.
And in Spring Awakening, there is a little character called Melchior. It is apparently supposed to be pronounced Mel-kee-or. However, I refuse to call him anything but Mel-qui-or, like a church choir. And he is absolutely adorable.

Yeah, that's him.
He sings pretty too.

Jonathan Groff, the dude who plays Melchior, is at 1:58.
They say the B- word, which is bad, but the song is so pretty.

SO yeah, but I watched Charlie Bartlett.
Anton Yelchin is pretty darn cute.
I just want to hug him, he's like a little muffin.

Got more records than the KGB.

I'm tired, and I'm annoyed right now. Just got some not so exciting news, to be honest. But I won't get into that here.

And because I have nothing better to talk about, here were the highlights of my day:

--I drove. Since I'm getting my learners in the fall, I don't drive very much. I got in some practice time today, and got up to 20 mph in the parking lot. Pretty great stuff.

--I watched like six episodes of Degrassi. I saw some of the best episodes I've never seen; the one where Paige has a panic attack during her exam and the one where Darcy posts bad pictures on her my room page were two of the best.

--I discovered this wonderfully little thing called KGB. It is a number you can text questions to and they'll be answered for a dollar a message. And it is incredibly addictive. So far today, I've texted about thirteen questions, some of the more interesting ones being "What are the lyrics to 'Muffin Top' from 30 Rock?" (the answer being "My muffin top is all that. Whole-grain, low-fat. I know you want a piece of that. But I just wanna dance."), "How tall is Daniel Radcliffe?" ("5'6 without any booster spells!"), and "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck?" ("If a woodchuck could chuck wood, it would be around 700 lbs. But they chuck dirt instead!")

--Here's a picture of Daniel Radcliffe in comparison to some of the other Harry Potter actors. Note his shortness.

half blood prince premire Pictures, Images and Photos

And if that picture is too big, I refuse to resize it.

--I saw this amazing commercial. Now, I have hated the f*g word for a long time, and I can't stand it when people say "That's so gay". So naturally, this commercial just made my day. It was these two girls and they were saying "Ugh, that's so gay, that's so gay, that's so gay" about every little thing. And a lady came up and said "That is SO Emma and Julia". And the little tagline was "How would you like it if people used what you were as an insult? Knock it off." Or something like that. It was just a really, really cool thing to see, and I hope people take the hint and grow up.

--We went to a party tonight as a family. However, that was not the highlight. The highlight was a little thing called a chocolate fountain. I dropped my first strawberry into it the fountain, but my second attempt was delicious. I ate two and a half tiny ham sandwiches, which were pretty much awesome. And a girl from church, Georgia, is going with us to the casting call tomorrow. She's a fellow HP fan, so I'm excited about that.

YEAH, so that's about all I can remember. Since I only posted one picture, here's another picture of some really awesome glitter tubes, just because I LOVE glitter.

I'll probably be blogging from Julianna's house tomorrow,
after a day of Ice Cream Socials with our dear friend, Freddie.

Cormac McClaggen is an underwear model??

So this was intended to be a review of Half Blood Prince, but another topic has been brought to my attention by my amigo, Julianna (follow her blog: http://happydayyay.blogspot.com).

If you've seen Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (or read the book), you will know about this guy called Cormac McClaggan. The actor's name is Freddie Stroma, and he completely stole every scene he was in in the movie.

While reading the books, I nearly completely ignored the character of Cormac. However, in the movie, that was impossible. And just a few minutes ago, I received a text from Julianna telling me that Freddie/Cormac is an underwear model.

Umm, wow?

Because I found this nugget of information blog-worthy, here is a picture of this stunning dude:

Freddie Storma Pictures, Images and Photos

For more lovely Cormac/Freddie-ness, Google Freddie Stroma. You won't be sorry.

Since I only intend to blog once a day, I suppose I'll post a few of my thoughts of the new Half Blood Prince film.

--The scene at the Burrow at the very beginning was so adorable. It felt so home-y, so much like the books. I was glad that for once we got to see a new dynamic of the Burrow.

--This movie has made me fall in love with the Ron/Hermione ship. I have been strongly opposed to this ship for at least six years now, but the scene with Dan and Emma on the stairs, talking about how it feels to have your heart broken, that just broke my heart. Julianna, I am in need of Ron/Hermione flair. Yeah, I bet you never thought you'ld hear that.

--Tom Felton. I've never seen his acting so powerful, so spot on. He made me fall in love with Draco all over again. And, his suit was snazzy through the WHOLE movie. Very snazzy.

Harry Potter and half blood prince Pictures, Images and Photos

--That picture brings me to another dimention of the film: Severus Snape. I love how Alan Rickman did justice to the character and made Snape so loathe-able. Also, his hair has never been so nicely quaffed. He's one of my most anticipated characters in the Deathly Hallows movies.

--Daniel Radcliffe made me smile through the whole movie. For such a short little dude, he's remarkable. Not that short people can't be remarkable. What I'm trying to say is that, Dan, you did Harry Potter well this time around. Fantastic job. :)

--Rupert Grint stole the movie. His scenes were pretty...exploited, is that the word?, before the film came out, but they were still as hilarious as ever. He has never been more Ron.

--I think my favorite part in the whole film was when Harry fed Cormac dragon balls. I was almost in tears, I was laughing so hard. Then again, Cormac is a scene-whore, so I had the same reaction in nearly all of his scenes.

--The Harry/Ginny relationship came off awkward and a bit rushed in this film. I'm still on the fence about that ship.

--OVERALL, it was the best film yet, in my opinion. Might even be in my top ten movies of all time. Just go in with very low expectations, which isn't very hard after the last attempt of a movie called Order of the Phoenix, and you'll be very pleasantly surprised. That's what I did, and I couldn't have loved it more.

So I guess that was more than a few thoughts? Haha, well, I just wanted to let out my thoughts on the movie. Hope you enjoyed reading and those few pictures I put in :)

Thursday, July 16, 2009

So, here we are.

Today is the sixteenth of July. Oh, well I suppose it's the seventeenth now. I don't get the whole AM/PM thing, really. Never made sense to me.

This is my blog.
I'm Maggie.
If you're reading this, thankyou for caring :)

OH, well the whole reason I decided to make this thing was, 1. I don't like to scribble ideas and things down on paper, and 2. I saw Hayleyghoover review Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on youtube and her blog, and thought it would be good to set this little blog up.

I might just post my personal review of the new Harry Potter installment tomorrow. But right now, I'm sleepy.

God bless.
